I see plenty of adults but, never any babies.Why do I never see baby squirels?
I've seen baby squirrels on the ground-their parents protect them so maybe you're not being still enough
A hunter I know was in camo in a tree being real still and one ran up his arm!

look for a tree with a hole in it bout the size of a squirrll or if you see a tree with a big nest if leves in it mostly they stay in the nest till they can go out on there own ,if you know some one who cuts trees for timber ask them
