Hire an exterminator who does live trapping so you don't get awful smells from dead animals in your attic.How do you get rid of squirels in the attic?
First find out where they are getting in. Then trap them or chase them out with mothballs. When you are sure they aren't in the attic anymore, seal up the holes they were getting in through with wood or hardware cloth. If you poison them they might die in your attic or die outside and poison any animal that chews on their body.
traps or poison...I love squirells...but not in my house. seal up any places that they are getting in at, so you dont have a reoccuring problem.
Poison or shoot the little sods.
Throw in mothballs or camphor flakes they dont like the smell
