What are the best pellets for shooting squirels?

I have a Benjamin Super Streak .22 Cal, with regular lead pellets i think it goes about 850 FPS

so should i use hollow point, blunt, pointed? What are the best pellets for shooting squirels?
You should always use the pellet your rifle prefers(accuracy), and the only way to know for sure is to experiment with high quality pellets.

';Generally'; speaking domed pellets are the best for small game(rabbit, squirrel, etc) since they hit harder and penetrate better than any other shape.

Two of the best .22 caliber small game hunting pellets are the Crosman Premier Domed(14.3gr) and the RWS Superdome(14.5gr)

Wadcutters are the best choice for pest birds since they deliver their energy without over penetrating

If you want to try a hollowpoint, I recommend the Beeman Crow-Magnum(18.2gr). They might be on the heavy side for your rifle, you would just have to try them and see how they perform.

That's very realistic. You should be somewhere around 825fps to 850fps with 14.0gr to 14.5gr pellets. What are the best pellets for shooting squirels?
preferrably not pointed, although accurate their expansion is very poor. Blunt is alright, but hollow is best. Anything round or pointed is most accurate, but it should not be just this, for a .177 cal i like the gamo rockets with the copper head, these are fantastic as are the gamo (i think its called flex tip) ones with the red plastic pointed head that breaks off upon entry to expose the wadcutter style flat nose of the lead part of the pellet. hope this helps
I agree with C_F_45. With airguns, accuracy is more important than the minor differences in terminal performance that different types of pellets may deliver. That's because with an airgun you don't have the over-kill factor that a rimfire rifle would deliver. So if your gun shoots wadcutters best, then use wadcutters. If it shoots round nosed pellets best, shoot round nosed pellets. And the only real way to find out what pellet your gun shoots best is to sample a bunch of different pellets and see how they perform at the ranges you plan on hunting at.
The Raptor .22 cal Performance Ballistic Alloy, it's the first non-lead Alloy Airgun Ammunition and increases velocity up to 25% over lead.

And the plus factor is that you won't be dumping lead out there--which I'm sure you know [as all good hunters should] is not a good thing.
raptor has pellets that will actually increase the speed of the pellet.....get the hollow points.....ouch will kill almost on contact...lol...good luck and happy hunting.......to all of u animal rights activist out there.....if u hate hunting soo much stay out of the hunting section or keep ur mouths shut!....no one here wants to read what u morons have to say.
I would use pointed, domed or wad cutter. Since the wad cutter has a flat head, it will shock the animal and cause damage. But pointed provides good penetration so its really your choice
Hunting ones like the hollow point or Pointed. Try for a clean head shot.

This question sure brought out the PETA people.
Hollow!!!
Rabbit pellets, please don't kill the poor little things [sob!]
LEAVE THE POOR SQUIRRELS ALONE! Bless them.
How about you don't shoot the squirel?
no kind of pellets

squirrels are friends, fun things to aim at
im not good at sniping use a flamethrower
